Symbol WLAN

Symbol Technologies' Spectrum24® 4121 Access Points strategically placed throughout the enterprise are the wireless connectivity point to an Ethernet network, or the hub of a standalone wireless network.

Symbol Technologies' Spectrum24® 4131 Access Point provides wireless LAN performance required for advanced mobile networking and business-critical wireless voice and data application support, including 10/100 Base-T Ethernet connectivity, the industry's most open and advanced security solution, and the Motorola 855T processor.

Symbol Technologies Spectrum24® CB 1000 Client Bridge extends wireless networking capabilities to printers, scales, medical equipment, manufacturing machinery, bar code readers, time clocks, point-of-sale, and other data collection devices. It provides a reliable, cost-effective interface between devices utilizing RS-232 serial or Ethernet ports and Symbol's wireless LAN access points. The flexible, durable case design features an accessible slot for inserting your choice of Symbol wireless LAN radio adapters*, Spectrum24 High Rate or Spectrum24.

Based on the IEEE 802.11b open standard for wireless local area networking, the Wireless Networker™ from Symbol Technologies slips into any laptop or device with a PC card slot, providing high-throughput, Ethernet-speed wireless data communications. Devices equipped with the Wireless Networker communicate with the Spectrum24® Access Point-or other Wi-Fi™ certified access points-which serves as the connectivity point to an Ethernet network, or the hub of a standalone wireless network.

The Spectrum24 CB 2000 Client Bridge from Symbol Technologies connects Ethernet-enabled devices to your Spectrum24 802.11b or other Wi-Fi™ certified wireless LAN.

It plugs into the RJ-45 port of printers, scales, medical equipment, manufacturing machinery, time clocks, point-of-sale, and other devices without a PC or PCI card slot. You gain convenient, easy-to-deploy wireless network connectivity for your productivity and application critical devices. At the same time, you can move equipment without the cost and time associated with wired network drops, providing flexibility for seasonal requirements, line and staffing changes, and more.

Power-over-Ethernet solutions from Symbol Technologies deliver operating power and data to Spectrum24 Access Points via standard Category 5 Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for 110/220 volt AC cable and power converters at each access point location. This significantly reduces cabling and outlet requirements-especially in hard-to-reach locations such as ceilings-simplifying and quickening access point deployment at lowered cost while protecting your Cat 5 and Ethernet switch investment.
